Azmina Aboobaker - Immigration AttorneyAzmina Aboobaker practices exclusively in the field of business and family-based immigration law. She has represented numerous clients before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and various consular posts abroad and has experience with immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, permanent residence, naturalization, and waivers of inadmissibility. She has also successfully litigated a number of removal cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, including cases for Adjustment of Status, 212(h), 212(i), 212(c), and 237(a)(1)(H) waivers, cancellation of removal for certain permanent and non-permanent residents, and asylum and withholding of removal. During law school, she was a student attorney in the Immigration and Refugee Law Clinic at Parkdale Community Legal Services where she represented clients applying for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds under Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Azmina also participated in the national Wilson Moot which focuses on constitutional equality issues and clerked for the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal. She currently volunteers with Catholic Charities, where she represents victims of domestic violence and violent crimes. Azmina received her bachelor's degree, with high honors, from the University of British Columbia, and her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, the oldest law school in Canada.
