Examples of Successful EB-5 Green Card Applications

Case 1

  • A young Chinese man inherited his family's estate. He used the funds to invest in a Regional Center. His petition was approved and the American Consulate in China issued him an immigrant visa. After immigration, he waited two years and filed the I-829. USCIS granted him full permanent resident status.

Case 2

  • A successful European businesswoman owns and operates a school in the
    United States.

    She and her family arrived on E-2 temporary investor visas. She then invested $525,000 in a Regional Center and her I-526 petition was approved. Lawler & Lawler succeeded in expediting her adjustment of status application for herself and her family.

    The family now has conditional permanent resident status and is waiting to file the application to remove the conditional nature of their permanent residence.

Case 3

  • A couple from the UK runs a business in Texas with E-2 temporary investor visas. At the time of application, their son was ready to attend college.

    The couple invested in a Regional Center. Filing the petition froze the son’s age under 21 for green card purposes. After clarifying a few points about the Regional Center in which they invested, their EB-5 petition was approved. Their adjustment of status applications were granted after 60 days.

    The couple now waits to file the application to remove the conditional nature of their permanent residence. Their son is attending a prestigious graduate school.

Case 4

  • A Japanese businessman in the United States on a temporary work visa made various investments in the United States and Japan. To stay in the United States, he invested $500,000 in a Regional Center.

    USCIS granted his application to remain a permanent resident (Form I-829) and he is a full permanent resident. He is now considering developing a new real estate project in addition to being a limited partner with his center investment. He maintains homes in San Francisco, Hawaii, and Japan.
