EB-5 Regional Center Statute Extension

News reports say that Congress has agreed on a budget until September 30th. Section 542 extends the EB-5 Regional Center statute without change to September 30th. Reports from Washington indicate that Senator Grassley continues to press for a new EB-5 statute, but others oppose him. Congress will vote on the bill and the statute will be extended to September 30th.

I am still worried that USCIS may implement an investment increase per their proposed rules published for comment in January. These rules may increase the investment amount to $1.35 million in a TEA. I believe Congress this summer may settle on a Compromise EB-5 RC extension bill. I will keep you posted about what I hear from Washington.
