E-2 Entrepreneur Visa Business Plans

I have been asked recently, does one need a professional business plan writer to write a business plan for an E-2 visa?

My answer: In most cases, no. The business owner can create their own business plan required for an E-2 visa. I am happy to provide clients with a sample plan as a guide. Regardless of the visa, a  written business plan is a good idea, as it focuses the entrepreneur on the costs of a new business. Typical costs include the following: rent, staff salaries, insurance, accounting, electricity, travel, dues and subscriptions, telephone, copying and office supplies, website, search engine optimization, legal fees, cost of goods, and so forth. These business-related expenses and their estimated or determined cost should all be listed in the business plan.
